A scratchpad that doesn't save anything. Punch in a shop percentage, total cash, total card/P2P, and total tips, hit Calculate, and it shows what the employee keeps and what the shop keeps. Good for a quick gut-check without touching any saved records.
Each row is one sale (one tattoo). Payment type is how the client paid for the tattoo itself — Cash or Card/P2P. Tip type is a separate choice for how the tip was paid, because a client can pay cash for the tattoo and tip on a card, or vice versa. This matters for the money math below, so it's worth setting correctly on every row.
The shop's percentage applies only to the sale amount (cash + card/P2P combined) — never to tips. Tips are always 100% the employee's. Example at 35% shop / 65% employee, on a $100 sale with a $20 tip: shop gets $35, employee gets $65 + $20 tip = $85.
Card and P2P payments land directly in the shop's account — the employee never physically holds that money. Cash does the opposite: the employee holds it, the shop doesn't see it until settling up. So on any given day, one side is usually holding more than their fair share. The summary box breaks this down:
Employee already holds — all cash sales, plus any tip marked Cash.
Shop already holds — all card/P2P sales, plus any tip marked Card/P2P.
Settle up — the actual cash that needs to change hands to make both sides match their fair-share payout. If the employee is holding more cash than their share, they owe the shop the difference. If the shop is holding more than its share (heavy card day), the shop owes the employee cash.
Off by default. With it off, clicking a saved date shows it read-only — nothing to accidentally bump or change. Flip it on (top right of the date list) to actually edit a saved day. Starting a brand-new entry for today always works regardless of this toggle.
Owner — sees and can edit everyone's entries, can add employees/managers, and is the only role that can create another Owner.
Manager — sees everyone's entries and totals and can add employees/managers, but can only edit their own entries. Viewing someone else's day always shows read-only, no matter the Edit mode toggle.
Employee — sees and edits only their own entries.
The number in parentheses next to each date, like (4), is how many rows (sales/tattoos) were logged that day. Hover over a date to see the full breakdown in a tooltip.
Cash / Card-P2P / Tips / Total Tattoo's are raw totals for whatever's currently in view (one person, or everyone). Right below, Owners and Managers see how much the shop earned from that view; Employees see how much they personally earned (their percentage cut of sales, plus all their tips).
Prints just the current entry — buttons and the date list are hidden automatically in the print layout.
